ごとに

About

ごとに is a suffix that attaches to intervals and expresses "every..." or "each...". ごとに can be attached to time nouns, or regular nouns (including numbers), as long as there is an interval involved.

E.g. 3時間じかんごとに面白おもしろいダンスをしなきゃいけない。
"Every three hours, I have to do a funny dance."

E.g. クリスマスは、家いえごとにクリスマスツリーをかざる。
"Each house decorates a Christmas tree for Christmas."
