〜ことから is a formal piece of grammar that is most commonly used in written contexts, or formal spoken contexts (e.g. the news) and generally translates to "Based on the fact that/From the fact that/Due to the fact that...".

〜ことから can attach directly to verbs/い-adjectives, or to な-adjectives/nouns using である or の・な.

〜ことから attaches to information that is based on established realities, or facts.

E.g. バナナをげてきたということから警察けいさつは、ただのいやがらせと断定はんていした。 "Based on the fact that they threw a banana, the police determined that it was merely a prank."

E.g. かおがとてもているし、ふくおなじであることから双子ふたごだとおもわれる。 "Due to the fact that their faces are similar, and their clothes are the same, it is thought that they are twins."

~ことから shouldn't be followed by volitional statements, wants, requests, or desires.
