About
〜から〜にかけて is used to express "from X to/until Y", where "X" and "Y" are not clearly defined start and end points.
E.g. これから7月にかけて、日本は梅雨のシーズンです。 "From now into July, Japan has its rainy season."
から is often omitted when the start point is already clear.
