About

The「 XはYで有名ゆうめい」 pattern is used to express that "X is famous for Y".

い-adjectives, verbs, and な-adjectives will need to be nominalized in order to attach to で. Nouns can be attached directly. Either こと or の are possible nominalizers, however, こと is more common with this pattern.

E.g. あの学校がっこうはバレー部ぶが強つよいことで有名ゆうめいです。 "That school is famous for its strong volleyball club."

「〜は〜が有名ゆうめい」 is also possible and sounds more natural when dealing with lesser-known information.

E.g. カナダはヘラジカの多おおさが有名ゆうめいです。 "The number of moose (that Canada has) is famous."
