About

~だけあって ("as expected; it's only natural") is used to link a reason or a cause with an expected or obvious outcome.

〜だけあって can attach to casual form verbs/い-adjectives, or to nouns/な-adjectives with or without な.

E.g. 毎日まいにちのこってサーブ練習れんしゅうをしただけあって、かなり上達じょうたつしている。 "They stayed (after practice) every day to practice serving and, as expected, they've really improved."

E.g. えきちかだけあって家賃やちんたかいね。 "It's near the station so the rent is expectedly high."

~だけのことはある may also be used, and comes at the end of a statement instead.

E.g.このワインはかおゆたかで、あじわいぶかい。さすがたかだけのことはある。 "This wine has a rich aroma, and a deep flavor. As expected from an expensive (bottle of wine)."

~だけあって can't be used with future statements, statements of intent, orders/commands, or suppositional statements

~だけあって is primarily used in positive statements, but can occasionally be used ironically.

~だけあって is most commonly used in both polite and casual spoken scenarios.
