~だけあって ("as expected; it's only natural") is used to link a reason or a cause with an expected or obvious outcome.
〜だけあって can attach to casual form verbs/い-adjectives, or to nouns/な-adjectives with or without な.
E.g. 毎日残ってサーブ練習をしただけあって、かなり上達している。 "They stayed (after practice) every day to practice serving and, as expected, they've really improved."
E.g. 駅に近いだけあって、家賃も高いね。 "It's near the station so the rent is expectedly high."
~だけのことはある may also be used, and comes at the end of a statement instead.
E.g.このワインは香り豊かで、味わい深い。さすが高いだけのことはある。 "This wine has a rich aroma, and a deep flavor. As expected from an expensive (bottle of wine)."
~だけあって can't be used with future statements, statements of intent, orders/commands, or suppositional statements
