～ことにはならない

The 〜ことにはならない (lit. "doesn't become X thing) pattern is used to express "doesn't mean...", and it is often combined with other grammar to express "just because X, doesn't mean Y", or similar.

～ことにはならない is commonly used to express that something isn't done "completely" or to a certain standard.

～ことにはならない can attach directly to casual form verbs/い-adjectives, or to nouns/な-adjectives using という.

E.g. 食器しょっきを洗あらったからといって片付かたづけたことにはならないよ。拭ふいて、しまうところまでやって。 "Just because you washed the dishes doesn't mean you cleaned up. Dry them and put them away."

E.g. 謝あやまったからといって、全すべての問題もんだいが解決かいけつすることにはなりません。 "Just because (you) apologized doesn't mean that every problem will be solved."

E.g. ピザを盗ぬすまれたからって、その人ひとの悪口わるぐちを言いっていいことにはならない。 "Just because you had your pizza stolen doesn't mean you can speak badly of that person."

～ことにはならない is commonly paired with ～からといって, or "only/just" grammar such as ～だけ.
