The ~ものがある pattern is used to create an indirect statement of how one feels about a given person/place/thing/topic.

~ものがある can be approximated as "there is something X" or "I feel X" in English.

~ものがある can attach to casual form verbs and い-adjectives, as well as to な-adjectives using な.

E.g. まほさんの演奏えんそうは、ひとこころひびものがありましたね。 "There was something about Maho's performance that resonated with the heart, wasn't there?"

E.g. 自分じぶん故郷こきょうすたれていくのをるのはさびしいものがある。 "There's something sad about watching one's hometown decline."

E.g. 部長ぶちょう説明せつめいには不自然ふしぜんものがあった。 "There was something strange about the section manager's explanation."

~ものがある is slightly literary in tone, but can be used in spoken polite scenarios, and occasionally in spoken casual scenarios.
