〜として～ない

About

The ～として～ない pattern is used to express that there "isn't a single X", or that there "is not one X".

For this pattern, として attaches to counters.

Most of the time, として attaches to "one" of something, but may also attach to "two" (+counter) in some cases.

E.g. 日本語にほんごの勉強べんきょうをしない日ひは一日いちにちとしてない。 "There is not a single day when I do not study Japanese."

E.g. お金かねが無なさすぎて、りんご一ひとつとして買かうことができなかった。 "I had no money and couldn’t even buy a single apple."

E.g. このような素晴すばらしい作品さくひんはこの世よに二ふたつとしてない。 "This kind of wonderful piece (of art; etc.): there isn't a single one like it anywhere."

～として～ない is mainly used in written scenarios, with ～も～ない used in spoken ones instead.

Certain set phrases (e.g. 誰一人だれひとり) may be used in conjunction with the ～として～ない pattern. In these cases, として may be omitted.
