なる may be used in conjunction with an い-adjective's continuative form to indicate a change in state.
The continuative form of い-adjectives is formed by changing their final い to く. Simply add なる to く to form the ～くなる pattern:
E.g. おいしい > おいしく > おいしくなる ("to become delicious")
