Welcome! This will be a short but sweet lesson about NEGATION. Oh don't worry, the negative doesn't have to be negative. It can be fun, and useful! For example, after this lesson, you'll be able to order pizza without mushrooms. One of the most important things to be able to say in any language, if you ask me (although others on the MM team don't seem to agree...).
まったく~(negative verb/adjective)
Example:
→ まったく見えない。
”I can't see a thing.”
The まったく~ない pattern pairs 「まったく」(sometimes written in kanji as 全く), an adverb meaning "really; truly; indeed", with 「ない」to say "There is absolutely no..." or "X isn't Y at all".
