Remember us talking about adjectives and how there are two types of them in Japanese? We’re finally going to properly learn what they are and how they work. Ready to take a jump in progress? せえーの!
So the first question is, why do we need adjectives? The answer is that it allows us to describe things: a red chair, a big table, and so on. In other words, we need adjectives to describe nouns!
い-adjectiveNoun
Example:
→ それはかわいいドレスだ。
”That is a cute dress.”
な-AdjectiveなNoun
Example:
→ サムはしずかな人です。
”Sam is a quiet person.”
