い-adjectives
I-adjectives
About
い-adjectives are one of the two types of Japanese adjectives and are characterized by the fact that they all end in the い kana.
い-adjectives may attach directly to and modify a noun (e.g. 「あつい日」"hot day").
い-adjectives can be made polite by adding です, however, they cannot be followed by the casual だ. Instead, the casual form of an い-adjective is simply its dictionary form.
