About
~ている verbs can have a so-called "lingering effect", where their action has already been completed, but the results are still in effect.
When ~ている form verbs are combined with まだ, they are described as "still happening".
E.g. 食べている "eating" / まだ食べている "still eating"
If the ている verb is negative, まだ can also indicate "Has not yet...".
E.g. まだ食べていない "has not yet eaten"
