~てしょうがない・仕方がない combines a て form verb or adjective with 仕方がない・しょうがない and is used when the speaker is overcome with a strong feeling or emotion.
~てしょうがない・しかたがない is used to express the speaker's own feelings.
~て仕方がない can attach to て form verbs/い-adjectives, or な-adjectives with で attached.
~てしょうがない・仕方がない can be approximated with "I'm so X that I can't stand it/It's so Y that it can't be helped", but other options such as "so X; really X; extremely X" are also possible.
E.g. あの人、いつも人を見下すように話して、もう腹が立ってしかたがない! "That person is always talking down to others, and it makes me so angry!"
