~てしょうがない・仕方しかたがない combines a て form verb or adjective with 仕方しかたがない・しょうがない and is used when the speaker is overcome with a strong feeling or emotion.

~てしょうがない・しかたがない is used to express the speaker's own feelings.

~て仕方しかたがない can attach to て form verbs/い-adjectives, or な-adjectives with で attached.

~てしょうがない・仕方しかたがない can be approximated with "I'm so X that I can't stand it/It's so Y that it can't be helped", but other options such as "so X; really X; extremely X" are also possible.

E.g. あのひと、いつもひと見下みくだすようにはなして、もうはらてしかたがない! "That person is always talking down to others, and it makes me so angry!"
