The に particle can be used to mark a mode of transport or the purpose of an action.

When used for modes of transport, に attaches to a noun and is followed by an intransitive verb, such as 乗のる or 入はいる. に marks the mode of transportation as the "target" of the verb.

E.g. バスに乗のります。
"To ride the bus." Where "bus" is the target marked by に.

When used to mark the purpose of an action, に attaches to a verb's stem form.

E.g. 食たべに行いく。
"To go eat." (Where "eat" is the target action marked by に.
