Verbs: Past Conjugation + Past Negative

elementary #25
~ 5 Minutes

Introduction

In a previous lesson, we introduced past tense by teaching you how to conjugate だ and です into their past forms: だった and でした. After which, we introduced you to the past forms of nouns and adjectives. And now, guess what, it’s time for the past form of verbs!

Verbs can be a bit messier in terms of conjugations, but don’t worry! We'll first focus on understanding how everything works, and later on, with the help of the conjugator, we’ll get to conjugate by ourselves. 😄

Well then, let's go and give your Japanese a huge アップグレード!

Conjugations! And Lots of Them!

Again, don’t worry about memorizing! This is all about understanding how the patterns of conjugation for past tense verbs work. After the lesson, you’ll have all the time to grind them with our conjugator. 💪
