About

The 〜てでも pattern is used to describe the speaker's strong will/desire to do X, "even if they have to do Y".

〜てでも is a combination of a て form verb and でも.

We can approximate 〜てでも with "even if (I) have to X", wherein X is an exceptional action that the speaker would do to achieve a certain goal.

The second half of a 〜てでも statement often features the speaker's desire or strong will.

E.g. たか家賃やちんはらてでも東京とうきょうみたいです。 "I want to live in Tokyo, even if I have to pay high rent."

E.g. かなえたいゆめがあるなら、仕事しごとてでも挑戦ちょうせんするべきですよ。 "If you have a dream you want to achieve, you ought to try, even if it means quitting your job."

E.g. なんとしてでもマイクとデートにきたい! "I'd do anything to go on a date with Mike!"

〜てでも is most commonly used in casual/polite spoken scenarios.
